How do I register?
You may register either online, in person at any of the packet pick up locations, or at Shelby Farms Park on race day. We recommend registering online if possible to ensure the best race day experience.
What is the easiest way to register?
Registering online is the easiest way to sign up.
Is it required to fundraise?
We highly encourage you to support us in the fight against cancer, but it is not required to participate in FIGHT ON. Visit Why Fundraise to see how your donations help the fight against cancer, right here in our community
I am a Team Captain. What do I need to do?
Register your team through our Participant Center. You will be able to edit you team’s page and invite others to join your team.
Can I register at a packet pick up location?
Yes. Please see Event Details for packet pick up times and location.
Can I pick up a packet for a friend or family member?
Yes, of course!
Are credit cards accepted at packet pick ups?
Yes, we accept all major credit card providers.
Where do we pick up our packets?
See the schedule of events page on the website for information on our packet pick up locations.
Am I guaranteed a race shirt?
All pre-registered participants registered at least one (1) week prior to event day are guaranteed one race t-shirt. These participants will receive the size they requested during the registration process. Event Day and Packet Pick up sign-ups are not guaranteed a t-shirt size of their choice; shirts will be given on a first come, first served basis. We will do our best to get everyone the t-shirt size they want.
*Please note: t-shirts are not included in the price for a virtual participant. However, virtual participants are welcome to purchase an event t-shirt in our virtual Shop.
Will I be able to change my shirt size?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to exchange your t-shirt until after the event. We will have an area at the registration tent for t-shirt exchange after the race for those wishing to exchange their t-shirts. You will be given the t-shirt size you ordered during registration.
How can I get a race shirt if I do not want to participate?
You can visit our FIGHT ON Shop to purchase an event t-shirt, as well as several other event merchandise items available for purchase. You may pick up your t-shirt and any merchandise ordered at any of the packet pick up times and locations; please bring proof of purchase.
What will we receive at packet pick up?
You will receive your event t-shirt, event bib, goody bag and any fundraising incentives.
What type of timing is being used?
Start2Finish Event Timing will be timing the event. We will use our new, state of the art Jaguar Electronic Timing System. Your timing chip will be on the back of your racing number bib. Participants must wear their number on the FRONT of their outermost garment if running and on their back if cycling.

Event Day FAQs
Where is the race located?
Shelby Farms Park. The start and finish lines as well as Celebration Village are located in front of the Event Lawn and Stage between the FedEx Events Center and the First Tennessee Visitors Center.
What time and where does the cycling portion of the event start?

What if it is raining/snowing on race morning?
FIGHT ON is rain, snow or shine.
When should I arrive?
We recommend that participants plan to arrive at an event one (1) hour prior to start time to allow for adequate time to park and get to the starting line.
Where do I park?
There will be ample parking around Shelby Farms Park. Please follow the direction of our parking attendants. Please note: there is limited parking available close to our starting area for the cycle, run and walk. We recommend that you arrive at least 1 hour prior to your start time to ensure ample time parking and getting to the start line. Visit our Event Details page for a parking map.
What should I bring with me to the event?
We suggest bringing the following items:
- Identifications – will need if you decide to have an alcoholic beverage in our Celebration Village.
- Cell Phone
- Any medication you may require
- Cash or Credit Card
- Any additional supplies you might need for your participation type.
Are baby joggers/baby strollers allowed in the run/walk?
Yes. However, we recommend that anyone participating with a stroller to start towards the end of the pack.
Are walkers allowed to participate?
Yes., If you’re participating in the 5K, we ask walkers to start towards the end of the pack.
Are runners allowed to run with dogs?
For the safety of all participants, dogs are not permitted on any of the course routes or in the Celebration Village.
Can we participate as a relay team?
Unfortunately you cannot participate as a relay team.
When are the awards?
What are the cycling distances?
FIGHT ON offers three (3) cycling distances:
- 20 miles
- 40 miles
- 60 miles
Cue sheets will also be available at packet pick up. In addition, the routes will be well-marked on the course itself.
When and where does the ride start?
All routes will start in the same location at Shelby Farms Park.
The FIGHT ON Cycle event will have staggered start times and corrals by distance and rider capabilities. Riders will be lined up by participation distances. We ask that you are in your corral at least 15 minutes prior to your designated distance time start.

How do I decide which route is right for me?
We encourage you to register for a route that you are physically comfortable riding. Each rider should know and understand his/her own capabilities. For the longer distances, including the 60 miler, we strongly encourage you to train for such a distance. The course limit is 5 hours, so you must be able to complete your distance of choice by 12:00 pm or rolling SAGS will pick you up from the course. Please consult the schedule of events prior to registering.
How far do we have to ride at once? Will there be any stops along the routes?
We will have (3) SAG stops (Support and Gear) set up along the routes. Your SAGs are at max 18 miles apart approximately. These SAGS are where you can rest, have some fun, get some food and beverages, receive any mechanical help, and/or medical attention before you hit the road again. We will also have rolling SAG vehicles that will patrol the route to provide assistance, if necessary.
What will the actual ride be like? Are there mountains and hills to climb?
Our routes are scenic and at times challenging, especially the longer routes. Our little corner of the state is fairly flat; however, our course has what we consider some fairly large hills to climb and ride down. Typically the roads we ride on are in good condition, but there are some that are not as smooth as you may like. You should be alert at all times, as there are always small bumps and holes in the roads. There will be riders of all levels, so at times you may be passed and other times you may pass a rider or two. Please check the rider classifications to see elevation charts to better understand the topography.
Do I have to abide by the Tennessee cycling laws?
All cyclists are required to abide by the law, which means all cyclists must ride single file to the right on the road and must use turn signals at all times.
Do I have to wear a helmet? Can I have earphones?
No exceptions you must wear a helmet. No headphones are allowed for safety reasons.
What if I am behind a slow rider?
Always pass slower riders on the left.
How old do I have to be to ride?
You must be at least 13 years or older to ride. All minors must have a liability release form signed by a legal guardian to participate.
Can I ride my tandem bicycle in FIGHT ON?
Yes, but each Rider on the tandem bicycle must register separately.
